Clinton Warns Lebanon: No Brakes on Israel Against Hizbullah

Amid concerns and fears of the past years restocking of arms on the border of Israel by Hizbullah, Israel National News is reporting that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton notified Lebanon's speaker of the parliament and warned him that the U.S. would not stand in Israel's way of handling this threat in the future. The INN article reports:

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reportedly warned Lebanon’s speaker of the parliament, pro-Syrian Nabih Berri, that the United States will not stand in Israel’s way in the wake of Hizbullah’s stockpiling of advanced weapons.

The Lebanese website Naharnet said that Clinton’s letter stated, "Washington cannot make an effort to prevent Israel from making any aggression if Hizbullah does not stop replenishing its arsenal.”
To me, this is another sign that the next conflict between Israel and the terrorist proxies will possibly erupt into a very serious confrontation.

As many of you know the prophecies concerning Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 predict the utter destruction of the enemies of Israel that are currently entrenched on their borders. The prophecy of Isaiah 17 also describes and foretells the destruction of Damascus which currently serves as the headquarters for many of the terrorist organizations in the Middle East. Isaiah 17 warns that Damascus, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, will one day be reduced to a "ruinous heap" never to be inhabited again.

With news reports of meetings between Hizbullah's Nasrallah, Syria's President Assad, and Iran's President Ahmadinejad we can see that there is a good chance that Israel's enemies are currently plotting ways to destroy her. With near daily riots, trouble on the borders, tension over the Temple Mount, and the continuation of the Iranian nuclear program, as well as reports of serious Israeli military exercises, we currently have all the explosive ingredients necessary for a full blown conflict in the near future.

As Iran continues to make progress on their nuclear program and defies the will of the international community, it is expected that Iran will indirectly increase military pressure on Israel through their proxy terrorist organizations like Hizbullah and Hamas. With recent threats from the terrorists that in the next conflict rockets will fall on all of Israel, the seriousness of the situation between Israel and the Islamic terrorist organizations has increased dramatically and makes the chances that a full fledged war in the region a very realistic possibility. These chances appear to increase with each passing day as more and more news comes to light that suggests such a conflict is right around the corner.

Another news article from Haaretz shows that Israel's enemies continue to ratchet up the rhetoric in the region and continue to call for the destruction of Israel. This time it was Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who went on yet another anti-semitic rant by calling Israel "an insult to humanity". The Haaretz news article reports:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday said that the existence of "the Zionist regime" is an insult to humanity, according to Iranian news agency IRNA.

Ahmadinejad made his remarks at a conference called "National and Islamic Solidarity for the Future of Palestine" where he declared Israel the reason for instability in the Middle East.
Further:
The Iranian leader said Israel's presence on even one inch of the region's soil was a cause for crisis and war, adding that the only way to confront Israel is through the resistance of Palestinian youth and other nations in the region.

Ahmadinejad also told the conference that the "Zionist regime" is the origin of all the wars, genocide, terrors and crimes against humanity and that it is a racist group that does not respect human principles.

Also in attendance at the conference were Hamas Chief Khaled Meshal, Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Abdullah Shallah and the head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command, Ahmed Jibril, all of whom live in exile.

The Iranian president ended his speech by suggesting a referendum on the destruction of Israel.
All of this rhetoric and anti-semitic propaganda promoted by the Islamists shows without a doubt that any attempts to "negotiate" with them on a "peace" deal with Israel will be for nothing. You simply can't sit at the "peace table" and negotiate, while on the other hand also sit at the "war table" with your fellow Islamic terrorists and plot the destruction of your "peace" partner. This defies logic and the fact that the international community continues to try to shove a peace deal down Israel's throat is one of the worst miscarriages of justice I have ever seen in my life. It is a shame for any country, including the U.S., to try to force Israel into such a deal. This is essentially a deal with the devil. And we know from the Bible, deals with the devil are not good.

With more calls for the destruction of Israel and continued stockpiling of weapons on the border of Israel, Bible prophecy watchers will need to continue to keep one eye on the Middle East region at all times. In addition, the spring and summer months are coming up and these are typically the times when conflicts arise in the Middle East between Israel and her enemies. Let us continue to pray for Israel and that the plots of her enemies will be fruitless and without success.
